Finding the Right Target Audience

Find and build the most accurate audiences for your campaigns using Adsaify's AI-powered targeting tools.

Even the best creative ad will underperform if it reaches the wrong people. Audience targeting is where most advertising budgets are wasted — and it's where Adsaify provides the most impactful AI assistance.


Interest-Based Targeting and Hidden Interests

Meta offers thousands of interest categories for targeting, but many of the most effective ones are not visible in the standard Ads Manager interface. These 'hidden interests' can only be discovered via the API. Adsaify's audience analysis tool scans Meta's full interest library and surfaces relevant hidden interests specific to your industry and product type. To use this feature, go to the Audience tab when creating a campaign and click 'AI Audience Suggestions'.


Lookalike Audiences

Lookalike Audiences let you reach new people who are statistically similar to your existing best customers. To build one in Adsaify:

  • Connect your Meta Pixel and ensure it has at least 100 conversion events in the past 30 days.
  • Go to Audiences > Create New > Lookalike.
  • Select your source audience (e.g., 'All Website Purchasers – Last 30 Days').
  • Choose your target country and similarity percentage (1% = most similar, 10% = broadest).

  • Adsaify recommends starting with 1–3% Lookalike Audiences for the best balance between similarity and reach size.


    Custom Audiences from Customer Lists

    You can upload a CSV file of customer emails, phone numbers, or other identifiers to create a Custom Audience. Meta will match these against its user database (the email list is hashed locally before upload for privacy). This is ideal for retargeting past customers, sending exclusive offers to loyalty members, or excluding existing customers from acquisition campaigns.


    Website Retargeting Audiences

    Using your connected Meta Pixel, Adsaify automatically generates retargeting audiences based on website behavior:

  • All website visitors in the last 30/60/90 days.
  • Visitors who viewed specific product pages but did not purchase.
  • Users who added items to cart but did not complete checkout (high-intent audience).
  • Past purchasers (for upsell and cross-sell campaigns).

  • These audiences are updated automatically in real time as your Pixel records new events.


    Audience Overlap and Exclusions

    Running multiple campaigns to overlapping audiences can cause your ads to compete against each other, increasing your costs. Adsaify's Audience Overlap tool (available under Audiences > Analysis) shows you the percentage overlap between any two audiences. If overlap exceeds 30%, consider adding the other audience as an exclusion in one of the campaigns to avoid cannibalization.


    Broad Targeting and Advantage+ Audiences

    For campaigns with larger budgets (typically over $100/day), Adsaify supports Meta's Advantage+ Audience mode where Meta has full freedom to find the best users for your ad without any manual interest or demographic restrictions. The AI has consistently found that broad targeting with strong creatives outperforms narrow targeting for top-of-funnel awareness and traffic campaigns.
